We are a training practice
Several colleagues are trained in our GP practice. Do you have any questions, or would you like to object to the presence of a colleague in training during your consultation? Please let the assistant know.

Physician Assistant

As of 1 September 2025, Gerda Hendriks will be training as a Physician Assistant (PA). Gerda is making the transition from her role as a practice nurse and will be supervised by the GPs and Dorothea Beutel, PA. The training programme is a Master’s degree at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen and takes 2.5 years. You can read more about the role of a PA here.

GP Consultation Support Worker

As of 1 September 2025, Lammie van der Laan will be training as a GP Consultation Support Worker. This means that, in addition to her usual duties, Lammie will learn to treat a broader range of common complaints. During her consultations, she will be supervised either directly or remotely by one of the GPs.

Doctor’s Assistant

A trainee doctor’s assistant completes a 10-week placement with us several times a year and is affiliated with Noorderpoort College in Groningen. The student is supervised by the doctor’s assistants in our team.
